Mark B. Michelsen

Mark B. Michelsen has been a litigation attorney in Virginia for approximately 30 years. He focuses his practice on domestic relations law wherein he handles a variety of divorce, spousal support, custody and appeal cases, including complex equitable distribution cases involving business and commercial real estate valuations. In addition to his litigation practice Mark has represented clients in numerous mediation and dispute resolution cases as an alternative to the courtroom.

Mark has been a speaker at bar association seminars and was honored to be a guest speaker at the Supreme Court Judicial Settlement Conference for Judges. He has served as President of the Metro Richmond Family Law Bar Association and has worked as a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

Mark has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and received Martindale-Hubbell’s distinguished attorney award by his peers for his legal ability and ethical standards.
